AN ACT CONCERNING STATE FUNDING FOR ARTS ORGANIZATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit line item appropriations in the state budget for arts organizations and to require that all state funding for such organizations be done by a competitive process through the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that state funding for arts organizations be competitive so that all such organizations have the same opportunity to apply for funding.
