SENATE BILL 1359

 

 

An Act

 

amending title 16, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-407.04; relating to the conduct of elections.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-407.04, to read:

START_STATUTE16-407.04. Election systems and activities; unique password required; violation; classification

A. For any election system or activity that requires an employee, contractor or volunteer to log in to the system, each employee, contractor or volunteer shall have a unique password that may not be DISCLOSED to ANY OTHER person. except for the 30 days before an election, each employee, contractor or volunteer shall ESTABLISH a new unique password every two weeks.  THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO POLLWORKERS USING AN ELECTRONIC POLLBOOK TO CHECK-IN VOTERS.

B. A person who knowingly violates this section is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor.END_STATUTE
