AN ACT

 

amending title 41, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41‑113; making an appropriation; relating to the Governor's office of film and media.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 41, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-113, to read:

START_STATUTE41-113.  Governor's office of film and media; director

A.  The governor's office of film and media is established in the office of the governor.  The office shall promote film and media production in this state and coordinate with any other state or local agency or private sector entity to assist the production industry in all categories of production.

B.  The governor shall appoint a director of the office pursuant to section 38‑211 to serve at the pleasure of the governor.

C.  The director of the office is eligible to receive compensation as determined under section 38‑611. END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Appropriation; office of film and media

The sum of $612,500 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2014-2015 to the governor's office of film and media for the purposes provided in this act.
