HOUSE BILL 2102

 

 

 

 

An Act

 

appropriating monies to the university of Arizona.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriation; university of Arizona; Arizona geological survey; intent

A. The sum of $750,000 and six full-time equivalent positions are appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2024-2025 to the university of Arizona for the Arizona geological survey established by section 27-102, Arizona Revised Statutes.  The monies shall be used to:

1. Increase the technical capacity of the Arizona geological survey.

2. Enable the Arizona geological survey to leverage federal grant funding.

3. Fulfill the requirements of title 27, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes.

B. The legislature intends that the appropriation made in subsection A of this section be considered ongoing funding in future years.
