A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-2-7e, relating to requiring the State Board of Education to develop a program of instruction on home maintenance for the elderly and the disabled.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 2. STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION.


§18-2-7e. Program on home maintenance.

The state board shall develop a program of instruction on home maintenance with the objective of assisting the elderly and the disabled to maintain the exterior premises of their homes. It shall be integrated into the curriculum as a new course or as part of an appropriate existing course or courses for students in secondary schools.


 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the State Board of Education to develop a program of instruction on home maintenance for the elderly and the disabled.
