WHEREAS, Anjelica Marie Hoffer, also known as Anjelica Hadsell, a devoted daughter, sister, and friend who touched many lives throughout the Commonwealth and the United States, died on April 9, 2015; and
WHEREAS, a native of Chesapeake, Anjelica Hoffer lived in Louisiana, Montana, and Arizona before returning to the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Anjelica Hoffer was a passionate lifelong learner who excelled in academics and served on her high school yearbook staff; and
WHEREAS, a talented athlete, Anjelica Hoffer originally pursued dance and gymnastics and later joined softball and field hockey teams; she also enjoyed climbing and biking and volunteered her time as an umpire for youth softball and T-ball games; and
WHEREAS, while tough and tenacious in athletics, Anjelica Hoffer was considerate and compassionate off the field and brought joy to others through her courage, wisdom, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, Anjelica Hoffer cared deeply for her younger sisters and was a trusted confidante to many friends; and
WHEREAS, Anjelica Hoffer was a first-year student at Longwood University at the time of her passing; and
WHEREAS, Anjelica Hoffer is fondly remembered and greatly missed by numerous family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Anjelica Marie Hoffer; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Anjelica Marie Hoffer as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for her memory.
