SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 4015
Celebrating the life of Christine Widell Morin.

 

Agreed to by the Senate, July 9, 2019

 

WHEREAS, Christine Widell Morin, a vibrant member of the Fredericksburg community and passionate advocate for animals, died on December 10, 2018; and

WHEREAS, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, Christine Morin graduated from Florida State University and pursued careers as an educator for students with special needs and as a flight attendant for Pan American World Airways and National Airlines; and

WHEREAS, Christine Morin was also a talented equestrian, who won many cutting horse riding championships in Florida with her beloved chestnut gelding Big Bird; her love of animals was evident throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, after settling in Fredericksburg, Christine Morin became a staunch supporter of the Stafford SPCA, as well as a master gardener, beekeeper, and highly admired philanthropist and community volunteer; and

WHEREAS, Christine Morin touched countless lives through her generosity, grace, and inspirational example as both a loving mother and a hardworking professional; and

WHEREAS, Christine Morin will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Christina and Maria, and their families; her stepchildren, Hunter, Page, and Cary, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Christine Widell Morin, a beloved member of the Fredericksburg community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Christine Widell Morin as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for her memory.
