RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That, pursuant to Section 6 of Article IV of the Constitution of Virginia, which directs that the Governor shall convene a special session upon the application by two-thirds of the members elected to each house, the General Assembly does hereby apply to the Governor to convene the General Assembly in a special session on Friday, March 9, 2018, for the purpose of considering (i) Budget Bill(s) and (ii) the election of judges and other officials subject to election by the General Assembly; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That, except with the unanimous consent of the house in which the legislation is offered, no bill, joint resolution, or resolution shall be offered in either house during the special session other than (i) the Budget Bills(s), (ii) those relating to the election of judges and other officials subject to election by the General Assembly, and (iii) joint resolutions or resolutions affecting the rules of procedure or schedule of business of the General Assembly, either of its houses, or any of its committees.
