SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 100
Commending the Bath County Fair Association, Inc.

WHEREAS, the Bath County Fair Association, Inc., will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bath County Fair, regarded by many as the "Best Little One Day Fair in Virginia," at this year's event on September 21, 2024; and

WHEREAS, tracing its origins to a fair at Millboro Elementary School, the first official Bath County Fair was held in 2014 as a partnership between the Millboro Ruritan Club, the Bath County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension, and Millboro Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, the Bath County Fair draws residents from Bath, Highland, Alleghany, Rockbridge, and Augusta Counties to Millboro each year for a delightful day of arts and crafts, baked and canned goods contests, agricultural exhibits, amusement rides, and more; and

WHEREAS, as a testament to its commitment to excellence, the Bath County Fair Association recently won several blue ribbons in a communications contest organized by the Virginia Association of Fairs; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Bath County Fair over the past decade are the result of the tireless efforts of the Bath County Fair Association's staff and volunteers and the generous support of the organization's partners, sponsors, and attendees; and

WHEREAS, the Bath County Fair has grown over the years into a beloved occasion for the community to come together to honor what makes Bath County a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Bath County Fair Association, Inc., on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Bath County Fair; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Bath County Fair Association, Inc., as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to Bath County and the Commonwealth.
