WHEREAS, for 25 years, I-CARE, Inc., a family-owned business based in Ashburn, has enhanced the lives of patients with neurological disorders by providing exceptional home health care programs; and

WHEREAS, in 1993, Donna M. Ivey used her background in clinical health care and her experience as a caregiver to loved ones to establish I-CARE; in its 25-year history, the organization has lived up to its original slogan "I CARE About Restoring Excellence in Healthcare" by providing innovative care to patients of all ages in Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads; and

WHEREAS, among its many services, I-CARE provides home health nursing care through its team of registered nurses trained to provide general and specialty care, as well as home health personal care through its team of licensed nurse aides who provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, cooking, and physical fitness; and

WHEREAS, I-CARE offers several other unique services, including home modifications to keep clients safe and comfortable and complimentary salon and spa services for seniors and homebound individuals; and

WHEREAS, in addition to its achievements in service to patients in the Commonwealth, I-CARE is well-known nationwide for its consultation services on health care program planning and implementation; and

WHEREAS, I-CARE has fulfilled its important mission with the help and hard work of many staff members and volunteers and generous support from community partners throughout Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That I-CARE, Inc., hereby be commended for its commitment to providing expert care to patients in the comfort and dignity of their own homes on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Donna M. Ivey, founder and administrator of I-CARE, Inc., as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's mission to provide help and hope to people in need throughout the Commonwealth.
