WHEREAS, the J.E.B. Stuart High School boys' soccer team secured the team's first district title in 26 years, with a win in the National District championship in May 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Stuart High School Raiders defeated the Falls Church High School Jaguars by a score of 1 - 0 to claim the district title; and
WHEREAS, as district winners, the Stuart Raiders earned a first-round bye in the Class 6 Region C tournament and defeated the Hayfield Secondary School Hawks 2 - 0 in the regional quarterfinals; and
WHEREAS, the Stuart Raiders' district victory is a testament to the skill and hard work of all the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of coaches and staff, and the enthusiastic support of the entire Stuart High School community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the J.E.B. Stuart High School boys' soccer team hereby be commended; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the J.E.B. Stuart High School boys' soccer team as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the team's achievements.
