WHEREAS, Neil Stribling, a hardworking member of the community whose quick thinking and decisive actions helped save a life, was named a 2015 Fauquier County Citizen of the Year; and

WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Citizen of the Year award honors individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their fellow Fauquier County residents or the county as a whole; Neil Stribling was nominated by Lee District Supervisor Chester Stribling; and

WHEREAS, Neil Stribling was working at Stribling Service Center in August 2015, when Chester Stribling, his brother, collapsed and stopped breathing; he responded quickly and decisively to help save the man's life; and

WHEREAS, Neil Stribling called 911 while two volunteer firefighters who were also in the shop began to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Chester Stribling; and

WHEREAS, Neil Stribling continued to assist with the situation after a local sheriff's deputy retrieved an automated external defibrillator from his car and used it to revive Chester Stribling; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Neil Stribling hereby be commended on being named a 2015 Fauquier County Citizen of the Year; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Neil Stribling as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his contributions to the Fauquier County community.
