WHEREAS, China King's Restaurant, a beloved, family-owned institution in Leesburg, has served classic Chinese dishes to the community for 35 years; and
WHEREAS, China King's Restaurant was established in 1972 and was the first Chinese restaurant in Leesburg and the first in Loudoun County; and
WHEREAS, located on South King Street, China King's Restaurant's striking storefront has been a hallmark of historic Downtown Leesburg's thoroughfare for decades, and generations of residents and visitors have enjoyed delicious meals in its cozy interior; and
WHEREAS, since 1989, China King's Restaurant has been owned by the Whang family, who have proudly worked with their fellow downtown business owners to enhance the vibrant local economy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend China King's Restaurant on the occasion of its 35th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to China King's Restaurant as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for its contributions to the vibrant local economy.
