A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 2 of Title 2.2 a section numbered 2.2-203.2:2, relating to the Secretary of Administration; organizational chart of state government.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 2 of Title 2.2 a section numbered 2.2-203.2:2 as follows:

§2.2-203.2:2. Secretary to prepare organizational chart of state government.

A. During the first year of each new gubernatorial administration, the Secretary shall prepare an organizational chart of state government. The chart shall (i) identify each agency and institution of state government, (ii) contain a brief description of the duties of each agency and institution, (iii) identify the number of employees at each agency and institution, including permanent full-time and part-time employees and those employed on a temporary or contractual basis, and (iv) contain such other information as the Secretary deems appropriate.

B. Annually, the Secretary shall make such revisions to the organizational chart as are necessary to ensure its accuracy.

C. The organizational chart required by this section shall be posted on the Commonwealth's website.
