Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 1 of Chapter 14.1 of Title 22.1 a section numbered 22.1-289.08:2 as follows:

§22.1-289.08:2. Child Care Subsidy Program; categorical eligibility for certain families.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law or regulation to the contrary, any family that receives public assistance through Medicaid or the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children shall be deemed categorically eligible to receive assistance through the Child Care Subsidy Program.
