Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That §46.2-749.48 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§46.2-749.48. Special license plates for supporters of Family and Children's Trust Fund; fees.

On receipt of an application and payment of the fee prescribed by this section, the Commissioner shall issue special license plates for supporters of the Family and Children's Trust Fund established pursuant to Chapter 21 (§63.2-2100 et seq.) of Title 63.2.

The annual fee for plates issued pursuant to this section shall be twenty-five dollars $25 plus the prescribed fee for state license plates. For each such twenty-five-dollar $25 fee collected in excess of 1,000 registrations pursuant to this section, fifteen dollars $15 shall be paid into the state treasury and credited to the Family and Children's Trust Fund. For each such $15 paid into the state treasury and credited to the Fund, the Commonwealth shall pay $15 into the state treasury to be credited to the Fund, up to $250,000 each fiscal year.
