HOUSE BILL NO. 1175 Offered January 17, 2022 A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 29.1-528.3, relating to use of snare traps; prohibition. ---------- Patron-- Ransone ---------- Committee Referral Pending ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-528.3 as follows:

§29.1-528.3. Local regulation of snare traps.

It shall be illegal to kill or trap or attempt to kill or trap any game animal using a snare trap with a circumference greater than 12 inches.
