Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 45.1-391.1 as follows:

§45.1-391.1. Solar farms; total acreage; report.

The Virginia Solar Energy Center (the Center) shall compile an annual report that lists (i) the total acreage of solar farm or utility-scale solar facility development projects completed during the respective calendar year throughout the Commonwealth and (ii) the total acreage of qualified donations of less-than-fee interests accepted by any public or private conservation agency during the respective calendar year, as reported by the Department of Conservation and Recreation pursuant to the provisions of subsection C of §58.1-512. The Center shall submit the report by December 15 of each year to the Chairmen of the House Committee on Appropriations, House Committee on Finance, and Senate Committee on Finance.
