Summary

Use of a person's identity with the intent to coerce, intimidate, or harass; public officials; penalty. Provides that it is a Class 1 misdemeanor for any person, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, or harass another person, to publish the primary residence address of the person's family or household member. The bill also provides that any person who, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, or harass another person, publishes certain identifying information of another person, knowing that person is a public official, defined as any state or federal judge or justice, law-enforcement officer, or attorney for the Commonwealth, is guilty of a Class 6 felony and that the sentence shall include a mandatory minimum term of confinement of six months. Under current law, such enhanced penalty applies only for law-enforcement officers.
