Summary

This resolution (1) expresses the Senate's support for the rights of the people of Iran to peacefully assemble and engage in legitimate protest; (2) condemns the Iranian regime's human rights abuses, repression of peaceful protests, and actions related to the downing of Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752; and (3) calls on domestic and foreign governments, institutions, and other stakeholders to support the ability of Iranians to live in a free and open society.
