Summary

Disapproving the rule submitted by the Department of the Interior regarding requirements for exploratory drilling on the Arctic Outer Continental Shelf. This joint resolution nullifies the rule submitted by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management titled "Oil and Gas and Sulfur Operations on the Outer Continental Shelf Requirements for Exploratory Drilling on the Arctic Outer Continental Shelf." The rule published in the Federal Register on July 15, 2016, limits exploration of oil and gas resources in the Arctic Outer Continental Shelf.
