SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 934
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
join Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated, in paying tribute
to Lady Jackie Pope of Houston; and
WHEREAS, Jackie Pope will be honored by the Top Ladies of
Distinction at its national convention, taking place this year in
San Diego, California, June 17 through June 23, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Lady Jackie is a community volunteer who holds
memberships in numerous public service organizations; she has
successfully completed four years as the national president of
Top Ladies of Distinction; and
WHEREAS, Lady Jackie Pope's administration is known for its
innovation, creativity, and professionalism in moving the
organization forward; and
WHEREAS, Lady Jackie Pope is an exemplary leader and role
model, and her exceptional efforts on behalf of Top Ladies of
Distinction are indeed worthy of special recognition; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Lady Jackie Pope for her leadership
and her service to her community and to Top Ladies of
Distinction, Incorporated, and extend to her best wishes for
continued success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
