SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th |
|
|
Legislature, Regular Session, 2017, That Senate Rule 12.03 be |
|
|
suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the |
|
|
conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on |
|
|
Senate Bill 2244 (the creation of the University Hills Municipal |
|
|
Management District; providing authority to issue bonds; |
|
|
providing authority to impose assessments or fees) to consider |
|
|
and take action on the following matter: |
|
|
Senate Rule 12.03(2) is suspended to permit the committee |
|
|
to omit text not in disagreement in SECTION 1 of the bill by |
|
|
omitting added Section 3947.255, Special District Local Laws |
|
|
Code. The omitted text would exempt the University Hills |
|
|
Municipal Management District from the application of Section |
|
|
375.262, Local Government Code, which provides for the |
|
|
dissolution of a district on petition of certain owners of |
|
|
property in the district. |
|
|
Explanation: The omission of the text is necessary to |
|
|
require the board of the University Hills Municipal Management |
|
|
District to dissolve the district on petition of certain owners |
|
|
of property in the district. |
