SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 828
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Kathryn M. Clarke for her outstanding work as a
  legislative intern in the office of Senator Royce West; and
 
         WHEREAS, Kathryn Clarke holds a bachelor of science degree
  in nursing from Simmons College in Boston, and she fulfilled the
  requirements for licensure in Texas in 2015; she currently works
  as a registered nurse for Saint David's HealthCare in Austin; and
 
         WHEREAS, As an intern in the senator's office, Kathryn
  played an integral role in the success of "Team West"; her many
  responsibilities included attending committee hearings and
  summarizing the proceedings, primarily those of the Committee on
  Health and Human Services; she also researched, analyzed, and
  provided feedback on bills, drafted questions for floor debate,
  and spent time with constituents; and
 
         WHEREAS, During her internship, Kathryn gained firsthand
  knowledge of the governmental process and insight into the issues
  facing our communities and our state, and she was an invaluable
  asset to the staff in the office of Senator West; now, therefore,
  be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend Kathryn M. Clarke on her exemplary
  work as a legislative intern for Senator Royce West and extend to
  her best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
