SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 80
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Gilbert Bega, who is retiring on August 31, 2017, from
  the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after more than
  41 years of outstanding service with the state; and
 
         WHEREAS, Gilbert Bega began his career in state service in
  1976; over the course of his time with the comptroller's office,
  he demonstrated valuable leadership abilities and rose through
  the ranks to become a manager; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Mr. Bega has been noted for
  his organizational skills and his attention to detail; and
 
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many
  duties and responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and
  dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and
  admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Gilbert Bega on
  his exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of
  the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to
  him best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him
  as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
