| Harrison Brown | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the | ||
| citizens of Graham in mourning the loss of Harrison Brown, who | ||
| died May 1, 2017; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Harrison Brown was an exemplary young man whose | ||
| many achievements and great potential were an inspiration to all | ||
| those who were privileged to share in his life; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Harrison was a 2016 graduate of Graham High School, | ||
| where he ran cross country, participated in one-act play, and | ||
| played trumpet in the Rompin' Stompin' Big Blue Band; he was voted | ||
| by his fellow students as class favorite, and the school's faculty | ||
| named him Mr. GHS, the school's most outstanding student; and | ||
| WHEREAS, He was a source of pride and joy for his parents, | ||
| Kurt and Lori Brown, and a source of strength and comfort for his | ||
| brother, John; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The death of one so young is a great tragedy, for | ||
| in the faces of the young we see the hope and promise of our | ||
| future; Harrison's unique spirit, and the joy he brought to | ||
| others, will continue to live well beyond his life; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A devoted son and loving brother, he gave | ||
| unselfishly to others, and his generous spirit, his boundless | ||
| energy, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest | ||
| will not be forgotten by his family and countless friends; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved | ||
| family of Harrison Brown; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of Harrison Brown. | ||
