SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 701
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Epsilon
  Chapter, which is celebrating the 65th anniversary of its charter
  on June 3, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, is a
  nonprofit organization that supports charitable organizations
  and underserved communities; for 65 years, the Epsilon Chapter of
  Eta Phi Beta has served communities in Dallas and beyond; and
         WHEREAS, Eta Phi Beta Sorority was founded in 1942 to
  foster high scholastic standards, encourage personal and
  professional growth, and expand awareness of career
  opportunities for African American women who have
  entrepreneurial aspirations; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1958 in Dallas, the Epsilon
  Chapter offers opportunities to professional women for service
  to their communities and for the empowerment of one another;
  through their dedicated community service, the women of the
  Epsilon Chapter have championed underserved communities in
  general and especially those Dallas residents who have
  developmental disabilities; and
         WHEREAS, The residents of the City of Dallas have benefited
  from the generous women of the Epsilon Chapter who have for years
  devoted their time and energy to empowering communities in
  shaping a brighter future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Epsilon Chapter of
  Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, on their many uplifting
  contributions to the spiritual and social betterment of the
  community and extend to the chapter sincere best wishes for a
  memorable 65th anniversary celebration; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of this special occasion.
