SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 381
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize March 18, 2015, as Best Southwest Partnership Day at
  the Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Best Southwest Partnership is a cooperative
  effort among the communities of Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville,
  and Lancaster created for the purpose of promoting economic,
  legislative, and educational well-being for Southwest Dallas
  County and northern Ellis County; associate members of the
  organization are Balch Springs, Ferris, Glenn Heights, Hutchins,
  Midlothian, Ovilla, Red Oak, and Wilmer; and
         WHEREAS, The mission statement of the partnership is "To
  Join Communities Under Shared Growth Objectives, Uplifting The
  Region Together"; and
         WHEREAS, This exemplary organization has promoted projects
  that address the mutual interests of its member communities;
  signature projects include creating a unique identity for the
  area by the use of a joint marketing business magazine, forming a
  comprehensive legislative platform, and hosting events for
  business and governmental leaders; and
         WHEREAS, Best Southwest Partnership is a fine example of
  the importance of cooperation and collaboration among
  communities, and it is truly fitting that a day be set aside to
  honor the organization's many achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of Best Southwest
  Partnership on their many contributions to the growth and
  prosperity of the region and extend to them best wishes for a
  productive Best Southwest Partnership Day at the Capitol; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  this organization as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
