SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 35
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Rosa Whitehorse, who is retiring after more than 30
  years of outstanding service with the Dallas County Juvenile
  Department; and
 
         WHEREAS, Rosa Whitehorse began her career with the Dallas
  County Juvenile Department as a member of the stenographers'
  pool in 1984; she transferred to the Probation Services
  Division in 1989, where she remained until her 2002 promotion
  to Psychology; and
 
         WHEREAS, She is a Native American from the Navajo Nation,
  and she is noted for her superior skills and expertise in a wide
  range of juvenile department proceedings; and
 
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled her
  many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication
  and with an impressive attention to detail; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and
  admired by her colleagues, and her presence in the juvenile
  department will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Rosa Whitehorse
  on her exceptional service to the people of Dallas County and
  extend to her best wishes for continued success in the retirement
  years ahead; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
