| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Rosa Whitehorse, who is retiring after more than 30 | ||
| years of outstanding service with the Dallas County Juvenile | ||
| Department; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Rosa Whitehorse began her career with the Dallas | ||
| County Juvenile Department as a member of the stenographers' | ||
| pool in 1984; she transferred to the Probation Services | ||
| Division in 1989, where she remained until her 2002 promotion | ||
| to Psychology; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She is a Native American from the Navajo Nation, | ||
| and she is noted for her superior skills and expertise in a wide | ||
| range of juvenile department proceedings; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled her | ||
| many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication | ||
| and with an impressive attention to detail; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and | ||
| admired by her colleagues, and her presence in the juvenile | ||
| department will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Rosa Whitehorse | ||
| on her exceptional service to the people of Dallas County and | ||
| extend to her best wishes for continued success in the retirement | ||
| years ahead; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
