| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Perry Homes on the occasion of the company's 50th | ||
| anniversary; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Perry Homes was founded in Houston by Bob Perry | ||
| in 1967 to meet the area's need for well-built homes at | ||
| reasonable prices; today, the company is active in more than 60 | ||
| communities in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since its founding, this family-owned and | ||
| family-operated business has built a reputation as one of the | ||
| most trusted home builders in the state; it ranks as one of the | ||
| top 25 home builders and one of the top 10 largest privately owned | ||
| home builders in the nation; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The continued success of Perry Homes is a | ||
| reflection of the company's focus on its core values of quality, | ||
| exceptional customer service, character, and integrity; this | ||
| exemplary company is truly deserving of special recognition as it | ||
| reaches this milestone in its history; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Perry Homes on its commitment to | ||
| building quality, affordable housing and extend to its owners, | ||
| management, and employees best wishes for a memorable 50th | ||
| anniversary celebration; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the company as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
