SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 212
         WHEREAS, Payton McKenna Kennington, a 2016 graduate of
  Pittsburg High School, maintained a perfect attendance record
  throughout 13 years of public education; and
 
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Shawn and Amy Kennington, Payton
  Kennington decided early in her academic career that she would
  make every effort never to miss a day of school, and she succeeded
  admirably in this regard; she also set herself high goals for
  scholastic achievement, and she maintained a 3.6 grade point
  average; and
 
         WHEREAS, This well-rounded student held leadership roles
  in the National Honor Society, and she was also involved in
  student government, serving as president of the student council
  and as class president; in addition, she was head majorette, and
  she worked on numerous community projects as well; and
 
         WHEREAS, Payton Kennington has demonstrated exceptional
  dedication to her studies, and as she embarks on a future bright
  with promise, she may indeed take pride in her accomplishments;
  now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate Payton McKenna Kennington on
  graduating from Pittsburg High School with a perfect attendance
  record and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Payton Kennington as an expression of high regard from the
  Texas Senate.
