| WHEREAS, The 99th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed | ||
| cause for celebration, and Daphne Mae Smith of Winnsboro | ||
| marked this significant milestone in her life on December 13, | ||
| 2016; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born in Camp County, Daphne Mae Smith has lived in | ||
| the Winnsboro area for more than five decades; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She was employed by the Winnsboro Independent | ||
| School District for over 40 years; an esteemed teacher of home | ||
| economics, she made a positive impact in the lives of countless | ||
| young Texans; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Respected and admired by all who are privileged to | ||
| know her, Daphne Mae Smith is a source of tremendous wisdom | ||
| and inspiration, and she may reflect with great satisfaction on a | ||
| lifetime of achievement; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby congratulate Daphne Mae Smith on her 99th | ||
| birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| Daphne Mae Smith as an expression of high regard from the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
