| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Kensen Shi, who has been named the individual winner of | ||
| the Siemens Foundation's annual mathematics, science, and | ||
| technology competition for high school students; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, The algorithm is called the Lazy Toggle | ||
| Probabilistic Roadmap Method and combines two earlier algorithms | ||
| into a more effective algorithm that eliminates steps used in the | ||
| other formulas; practical applications of the method could | ||
| include such uses as driverless cars, factory robotics, and video | ||
| game design; and | ||
