| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Dan Leal for 15 years of exceptional service as | ||
| executive director of the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton | ||
| County; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dan Leal joined the Children's Advocacy Center for | ||
| Denton County after having worked in partnership with the | ||
| organization while employed by the City of Denton; passionate | ||
| about the center's mission of empowering child abuse victims, | ||
| their families, and the community through education, healing, | ||
| and justice, he eagerly accepted an offer to serve as executive | ||
| director; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under his exemplary leadership, the center has | ||
| expanded its facilities and staff to better serve the needs of | ||
| abused and neglected children; he has played a vital role in | ||
| making the center financially secure and in raising awareness of | ||
| its programs throughout the community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Leal has been instrumental in building a team | ||
| of caring professionals and in creating an environment designed | ||
| with the needs of children in mind; the center has worked with law | ||
| enforcement agencies and other organizations to ensure that | ||
| children's needs are the highest priority; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dan Leal's work has had a profound impact on the | ||
| lives of countless abused and neglected children, and it is | ||
| truly fitting that he receive special recognition for his | ||
| accomplishments; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Dan Leal on his | ||
| outstanding work as executive director of the Children's | ||
| Advocacy Center for Denton County and extend to him best wishes | ||
| for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
