	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 108
	WHEREAS, The 90th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed
	cause for celebration, and Jeanne Botto Rodgers marked this
	significant milestone in her life on July 10, 2017; and

	WHEREAS, Born in 1927, the former Jeanne Botto was joined
	in marriage to George Rodgers, and they became the proud parents
	of three children, David, Ronnie, and Cindy; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers were charter members of the
	Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Marshall, and if the church
	doors were open, Mrs. Rodgers was doubtless there to assist in
	some capacity; she taught Sunday school for children in the fourth
	through the sixth grade, and she was involved in the prayer
	group, Women in Ministry, and in various Bible studies; and

	WHEREAS, Widowed in 1992, Mrs. Rodgers now resides in Dallas
	with her son David; through the years, she has been blessed with
	five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and

	WHEREAS, Jeanne Rodgers has witnessed a panorama of change
	over the course of nine decades, and she has met life's
	challenges and opportunities with dignity and grace, earning the
	deep admiration of all who are privileged to know her; now,
	therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
	Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jeanne
	Botto Rodgers on her 90th birthday and extend to her sincere best
	wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	Mrs. Rodgers as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
