| BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Article XVI, Texas Constitution, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 29 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 29. State or local funds may not be used for the | ||
| administration of a labor organization, including the collection of | ||
| dues or fees. | ||
| SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | ||
| submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 6, 2018. | ||
| The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | ||
| proposition: "The constitutional amendment prohibiting state or | ||
| local funds from being used for the administration of labor | ||
| organizations." | ||
