| polling places. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 85.062, Election Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (c-1) In a county with a population of 100,000 or more, the | ||
| location of a movable temporary branch polling place established | ||
| under this section may be changed only: | ||
| (1) once during the early voting period; and | ||
| (2) after at least half of the early voting period has | ||
| concluded. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
