relating to the composition of the cybersecurity council. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 2054.512(b), Government Code, is amended | ||
to read as follows: | ||
(b) The cybersecurity council must include: | ||
(1) one member who is an employee of the office of the | ||
governor; | ||
(2) one member of the senate appointed by the | ||
lieutenant governor; | ||
(3) one member of the house of representatives | ||
appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives; [ |
||
(4) one member who is an employee of the Elections | ||
Division of the Office of the Secretary of State; and | ||
(5) additional members appointed by the state | ||
cybersecurity coordinator, including representatives of | ||
institutions of higher education and private sector leaders. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
