| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 472, Transportation Code, | ||
| is amended by adding Section 472.036 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 472.036. POLICY BOARD MEMBER VOTING ELIGIBILITY. To | ||
| be eligible to be a voting member of a metropolitan planning | ||
| organization policy board, a member must be an elected official. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
