relating to the maintenance of certain state buildings allocated | ||
for legislative use and their grounds. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 2165.007, Government Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
(c) Notwithstanding Subsection (b) and except as otherwise | ||
provided by this subsection, the State Preservation Board is | ||
responsible for providing general building and grounds maintenance | ||
for the Sam Houston Building, the Robert E. Johnson Building and | ||
attached parking facilities, and the John H. Reagan Building. The | ||
commission shall maintain the heating, ventilation, and cooling | ||
systems and related equipment connected to the Sam Houston | ||
Building. This subsection may not be construed to specifically | ||
commit the control of any public buildings or grounds to the State | ||
Preservation Board for purposes of Section 2165.002 or any other | ||
law. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
