AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to substitutes for hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants |
|
|
applicable to commercial or residential buildings or construction. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 382, Health and Safety Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subchapter L to read as follows: |
|
|
SUBCHAPTER L. REGULATION OF HYDROFLUOROCARBONS |
|
|
Sec. 382.551. SUBSTITUTES FOR HYDROFLUOROCARBON |
|
|
REFRIGERANTS APPLICABLE TO COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS OR |
|
|
CONSTRUCTION. A building code or other requirement applicable to |
|
|
commercial or residential buildings or construction may not |
|
|
prohibit the use of a substitute refrigerant authorized pursuant to |
|
|
42 U.S.C. Section 7671k. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2023. |
|
