relating to certain information on the Texas Board of Nursing's | ||
Internet website regarding prescriptive authority agreements. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 301.168, Occupations Code, is amended to | ||
read as follows: | ||
Sec. 301.168. DUTIES REGARDING PRESCRIPTIVE AUTHORITY | ||
AGREEMENTS. (a) The board shall in conjunction with the Texas | ||
Medical Board and the Texas Physician Assistant Board perform the | ||
functions and duties relating to prescriptive authority agreements | ||
assigned to the board in Sections 157.0512 and 157.0513. | ||
(b) The board shall post on the board's Internet website | ||
information regarding advanced practice registered nurses who have | ||
entered into prescriptive authority agreements with physicians. | ||
The information must include: | ||
(1) the names of the physician and advanced practice | ||
registered nurse who have entered into the agreement; | ||
(2) the physician's practice specialty; | ||
(3) the address of the physician's practice location; | ||
and | ||
(4) if different from the address under Subdivision | ||
(3), the address where the advanced practice registered nurse | ||
practices. | ||
SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date | ||
of this Act, the Texas Board of Nursing shall make the information | ||
required by Section 301.168(b), Occupations Code, as added by this | ||
Act, available on the board's Internet website. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
