R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sarah Depew is graduating from the Marshall-Wythe
  School of Law at the College of William & Mary in May 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Depew first attended Collin College Plano
  Campus from 2001 to 2004 before transferring to Texas A&M
  University, where she earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's
  degree in psychology; she was also employed in a cognitive sciences
  laboratory studying the effects of language on perception; and
         WHEREAS, After earning her master's degree in 2008, Ms. Depew
  began working for the state's foster care system, ensuring the
  well-being of children and helping them to find safe and permanent
  homes; she left Child Protective Services in 2013 and continued to
  serve youth in foster care by providing them with free tutoring and
  volunteering with CASA of Collin County; in addition, she
  established a neighborhood free food pantry that offers vital
  support to families in need; she further demonstrated her
  commitment to her community by running for the Texas House of
  Representatives in 2018, all while raising two children as a
  stay-at-home mother; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Depew will graduate from law school with a
  concentration in international law, and she plans to return to
  Collin County to continue serving the community; and
         WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
  outstanding Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
  friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Depew on her graduation from
  the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Depew as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
