R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Aaron Suarez of Corpus Christi has excelled in |
|
computer science during his academic career, and his achievements |
|
have been recognized by Project Lead The Way; and |
|
WHEREAS, A national nonprofit organization that develops |
|
science, technology, engineering, and math curricula, PLTW |
|
published a profile highlighting the work of this notable young |
|
Texan during Computer Science Education Week; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Suarez was first inspired to learn more about |
|
computers as an elementary school student, and he went on to pursue |
|
the subject during his years at the Innovation Academy for |
|
Engineering, Environmental & Marine Science at Moody High School; |
|
following his graduation as salutatorian in 2012, he enrolled at |
|
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he now majors in |
|
computer science; and |
|
WHEREAS, Talented and dedicated, Aaron Suarez represents the |
|
best of the Lone Star State, and his continuing pursuit of |
|
excellence gives promise of a bright and rewarding future; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aaron Suarez on being recognized by |
|
Project Lead The Way and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success in all of his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Suarez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
