R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jim Ball of the Flower Mound Police Department was |
|
|
promoted to the rank of lieutenant on October 15, 2023, and this |
|
|
achievement represents an impressive milestone in his law |
|
|
enforcement career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Ball was hired by the Flower Mound Police |
|
|
Department as a patrol officer in 2009; and two years later, he |
|
|
became a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, and he |
|
|
was promoted to sergeant in 2016; his responsibilities have |
|
|
included serving as a drone pilot, and he has furthered his |
|
|
professional development by earning certification as a master peace |
|
|
officer; in recognition of his many contributions, he was honored |
|
|
as the 2022 Sworn Supervisor of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Ball began his career in law enforcement |
|
|
in 2000 with the Irving Police Department, and from 2003 to 2009, he |
|
|
was a member of the Dumas Police Department, where he held the rank |
|
|
of sergeant; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and dedication |
|
|
to duty, Lieutenant Jim Ball has greatly benefited his colleagues |
|
|
and his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride on |
|
|
this well-deserved promotion; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Jim Ball on |
|
|
attaining the rank of lieutenant with the Flower Mound Police |
|
|
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Lieutenant Ball as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
