R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, School boards play a crucial role in meeting the
  diverse educational needs of the children in their districts, and
  Matt Roberts is indeed deserving of recognition for his service as a
  trustee of the Tioga Independent School District; and
         WHEREAS, The mission of public schools throughout the state
  and nation is to empower children to become productive contributors
  to society in an ever-changing world; to that end, Mr. Roberts works
  closely with other school board members, as well as with parents,
  teachers, and community leaders, to set policies that promote a
  learning environment in which all students have a chance to thrive;
  and
         WHEREAS, This notable Texan has demonstrated a truly
  exemplary commitment to area students and brings a set of skills and
  a range of experience that contribute immeasurably to the
  successful operation of Tioga ISD; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Matt Roberts for
  his service as a member of the Tioga Independent School District
  Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere appreciation for his
  outstanding service to the community; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
