R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Caleb Ferguson of the Sunray High School FFA chapter
  was presented with the Lone Star FFA Degree at the 89th annual Texas
  FFA State Convention held July 10-14, 2017, in Corpus Christi; and
         WHEREAS, The highest degree of membership awarded at the
  state level, the Lone Star FFA Degree recognizes members who have
  distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional commitment
  to the organization as well as outstanding leadership skills; in
  addition to completing the agricultural science course
  requirements, recipients must also maintain a supervised
  agricultural experience program, perform community service, and
  participate in a number of events, conventions, meetings, and
  activities above the chapter level; and
         WHEREAS, This exemplary young Texan has brought great pride
  to his family, school, and community, and he may indeed look forward
  with optimism and anticipation to the myriad opportunities that lie
  ahead; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Caleb
  Ferguson on his receipt of the Lone Star FFA Degree and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Ferguson as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
