| WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced | ||
| by a great and enduring love, Jose and Guadalupe Banda of Mount | ||
| Pleasant celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 8, | ||
| 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Banda | ||
| exchanged the vows of matrimony in Múzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, and | ||
| over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a | ||
| loving life partner; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Banda count among their blessings a | ||
| fine family that includes their 11 children, as well as their 47 | ||
| grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure | ||
| spending many special occasions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For six decades, Jose and Guadalupe Banda have | ||
| brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it | ||
| is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Jose and Guadalupe Banda on their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
