R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to a close with the
  passing of Robert Russell Dunavant on May 18, 2015, at the age of
  67; and
         WHEREAS, Robert Dunavant was born in Pittsburg, Texas, on
  October 1, 1947, to Sherwood and Rachael Davis Dunavant, and he grew
  up in the company of three brothers; an alumnus of Stephen F. Austin
  State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology,
  he enjoyed a 27-year career in business as owner and operator of a
  McDonald's franchise in Ripley, Mississippi; in addition, he was a
  valued congregant of the First Baptist Church of Ripley; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Dunavant was blessed with
  the love and support of his wife, the former Glenda Bennett; over
  the course of 48 years of marriage, the couple nurtured a rewarding
  union that was made even richer with the addition of two sons, Trent
  and Rusty, and three grandchildren, Cade, Case, and Blake Avery;
  and
         WHEREAS, Although Robert Dunavant will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in
  the hearts of his family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Robert Russell
  Dunavant and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
  family: to his wife, Glenda Bennett Dunavant; to his sons, Trent
  Dunavant and his wife, Tysha, and Dr. Rusty Dunavant and his wife,
  Spring; to his brothers, Ronnie Dunavant and his wife, Bethanne,
  Dixie Dunavant and his wife, Hope, and James Dunavant and his wife,
  Angie; to his grandchildren, Cade, Case, and Blake Avery Dunavant;
  and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert
  Dunavant.
