WHEREAS, Katherine Smart has ably served her fellow Texans as | ||
a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gilbert | ||
Peña during the 84th Legislature; and | ||
WHEREAS, Ms. Smart's resourcefulness and initiative have | ||
earned the appreciation of her colleagues, and her contributions to | ||
carrying forth Representative Peña's legislative agenda have | ||
helped address issues facing citizens across the Lone Star State; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, After earning a bachelor's degree in sociology from | ||
Texas A&M University, Ms. Smart attended Florida Metropolitan | ||
University and attained a master's degree in criminology; she has | ||
previously worked for a number of government agencies in Austin, | ||
including the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Internal | ||
Revenue Service, and the Travis County District Clerk's Office; and | ||
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her | ||
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is | ||
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby commend Katherine Smart for her service as a | ||
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gilbert Peña | ||
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all | ||
her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Smart as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
